Bob founded Raffles Capital Group in 1991. His prior experience includes: Managing Director & shareholder, SoundView Technology Group Inc., an investment banking firm specializing in financing technology companies, from 1989-1991, Senior Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions Group, Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. from 1985-1989, and co-founder of Bank of America's Mergers & Acquisitions Group in 1978.
Bob is a member of the investment committee of Japan International Christian University's Endowment Fund, New York.
Bob was a charter member of the Association for Corporate Growth-Connecticut Chapter. He co-founded Straits Eastern Partnership in 2003, a non-profit organization to accelerate the career development of young Asian professionals in the tri-state area.
Bob is a past Director of the Board of Commissioners of Currency, Republic of Singapore and former member of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists, the Connecticut Venture Group and the Business Advisory Committee of the Greenwich Library.
Bob earned his MBA and BBA from the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. He served as an infantry platoon leader, qualifed as a paratrooper, and a Captain in the US Army.
Aie Teck Lau, Senior Vice President & CFO
Aie Teck co-founded Raffles Capital Group in 1991. Prior to joining our firm, Aie Teck was the CEO of AT Lau Enterprises, a corporate financial advisory firm, worked as Manager of Credit at Continental Grain Company, and was Second Vice President at JP Morgan Chase in Singapore.
Aie Teck served as a member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA in Singapore.
Aie Teck is an avid golfer. Aie Teck is presently a Deacon of the Second Congregational Church in Greenwich, CT.
Aie Teck received a BBA (Honors) from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from Stanford University.
